Protein

I'm having some problems with kidney function (a side effect of my diabetes) and my K-doc told me to limit my protein intake.

The problem is that I don't really know what means and I didn't think to ask her at the time.

So how much protein should I eat?

According to this site someone my weight should eat about 75 grams. But I'm a little overweight, and somebody the weight I probably should be at needs about 55 grams per day.

So, does that mean eating between 55 and 75 grams of protein a day is about right?
